Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Pickup Varanasi Airport or Railways Station: Welcome to India! On your arrival at the Varanasi airport or your desired location you will be welcomed and assisted by our representative or chauffeur and drive for Check inn your Hotel. Leisure evening is free for city walk near hotel location. Overnight stay at Varanasi Hotel.
Day 02: Varanasi Sightseeing: Morning boat excursion on the river Ganges. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where funeral pyre burns Day and night. Every pious Hindu believes that to die in Kashi and to be cremated on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from the cycle of birth and death.
Old Varanasi Walks:
These are the best part of being in Benaras. Themed walks or a casual walk in the early morning or evening is something which you will carry till the last days of your life. Its unique and contemporary.
Widow Ashrams:
Widow ashrams are not something to admire or pity on. But, if you are thoughtful types, then it’s something to ponder upon. Be here to see how despite of being in 21st century, how the lives of widows of Benaras are laid back by years.
Benaras Hindu University:
It’s the destination where people come to learn Hindu shastras and Sanskrit literature. Take one of those groovy BHU tours which is not only enriched with ancient Indian studies but also culture thriving here in every single chant which is chanted here.
Princep Bar:
In addition to all those Ghats Varanasi calls for; Princep Bar is a art dweller’s place. It’s a place which not sells beer but also has a cool collection of Varanasi’s ghats and temples hand- made paintings. Interested?
Kashi Vishwanath Temple:
Also known as Golden Temple, it’s the living adobe of Hindu Lord Shiva and his better – half Mata Parvati. However, it’s open only for Hindus.
Ramnagar Fort:
Constructed in the 18th century, Ramnagar fort calls for people from all over the world. Built in redstone, it used to be the official residence of Maharajah of Benaras.
Jantar Mantar:
Just like the one in Jaipur, this observatory was constructed by Mahrajah Jai Singh of Jaipur in 1737. Just a flight of stairs from Manikarnika Ghat and you are there. Be here in the early hours to get a fantastic view of river ganges from terrace of Jantar Mantar.
Rest of the Day at leisure. Overnight Varanasi.
Day 03: Varanasi Airport Railway Station Drop: In the morning after breakfast, transfer to nearest Railway Station or airport to board a flight for your onward destination.
Tour ends but sweet memories remains always.
